VACATION RENTAL POLICIES

CANCELLATIONS; REFUND: This is normally spelled out in the lease but in general the final payment is due 60 days prior to rental.  The reservation fee is normally refundable up to 60 days in advance of rental.  Only 50% refundable from 30 to 60 days. Non – refundable within 30 days of rental.  Once cancelled if owner is able to rent the property out during the same dates than the full amount is refunded less owner costs associated with rental.  Some properties have more restrictive policies

CHECK-IN TIME: (12PM-5PM) Guest will check-in and pick up keys at A.G. Davi Real Estate office at 484-D Washington St., Monterey, CA  93940 during normal office hours 12:00PM - 5:00PM Monday through Friday.  If a guest is to arrive after 5:00PM, call for special instructions for picking up your keys.

CLEANING FEE: All properties require departure-cleaning services and are subject to a cleaning fee of $100.00 - $500.00 depending on the property.

DEPARTURE REQUIREMENTS AND CLEANING: Check out time is 12:00 PM.  Upon checkout, furniture should be in neat and tide order, dishes washed, put trash in outside bin and clean the barbecue if used. Linens need to be collected from all used beds and placed near the Laundry area or Garage door.

ITEMS LEFT AT RENTAL: A.G. Davi will not be responsible for personal items left in the unit. A $15.00 service charge and COD costs are required if you request A.G. Davi to pick up and mail items left in the unit. Any items found in units that are not claimed within 30 days will be donated to charity.

MEET AND GREET / CONCIERGE SERVICES: Our firm offers additional services where we can meet you at the house for check in and introduce you to the property and its systems for a fee of $75.00 – We offer Concierge type services where we can arrange for airport pick up, groceries or  a special gift (flowers, wine and cheese, etc.) to be brought to the house before arrival – These  need to be arranged in advance.

MAID SERVICES:  It’s your vacation if you want a cleaning person to stop in daily or once a week we can make the arrangements.  Please plan well in advance of your stay

METHOD OF PAYMENT: All rates quoted by A.G. DAVI, Ltd. are amounts payable by cash, check and money order and credit cards paid through our Pay Pal merchant account (credit cards are subject to a 2.9%  fee ).  We don’t accept personal checks unless reservation is more than 30 day’s from date of occupancy.

NO SMOKING: All of our vacation rentals are NON SMOKING residences – please don’t smoke, thank you for your cooperation.

PETS: MOST PROPERTY OWNERS DO NOT ALLOW OR ACCEPT PETS due to owner preference or allergy concerns. If pets are allowed, The security deposit is often increased and there is a non-refundable pet fee of $100/per pet plus tax.

RESERVATIONS: Reservations can be made 7 days a week via telephone, online or in person.  The deposit is due at time of booking and is 50% of the rental. Full payment is due and must be received 60 days prior to your arrival. 

RETURNED CHECKS: There is a $25.00 charge for any checks that are returned to us by your bank.

SECURITY/DAMAGE DEPOSIT (REFUNDABLE): A minimum Security/Damage deposit of $250.00 is required on all properties.  Some properties are significantly higher The Security/Damage deposit is held until determination of condition and content of the rental property upon check-out. Security/Damage deposits will be mailed within 21 days after departure in the form of a company check provided there are no other charges pending.

TELEPHONE SERVICES/COMPUTER ONLINE USE: All properties are equipped with a telephone for local calls only. Long distance calls must be charged to guest's credit card, calling card or made on a collect basis. Most properties will have access to a wireless modem for their laptop but A.G. DAVI is not responsible for connectivity issues.

UNFORESEEN CIRCUMSTANCES: If the rental property becomes unavailable or uninhabitable, A.G. DAVI, Ltd. reserves the right to move a guest to a comparable location accommodating the same number of persons and within the same price range. A.G. DAVI, Ltd. cannot guarantee availability or comparability of other properties. Owner and A.G. DAVI, Ltd. are not liable for any acts of nature or major mechanical failure that would prohibit or limit the use of a property.

VIOLATION OF TERMS OR CONDITIONS OF OCCUPANCY: When Guest(s) violate(s) any of the terms of occupancy, property rules, community rules or regulations, the guest(s) may be asked to vacate the property by A.G. DAVI, Ltd. and NO refund will be due to guest(s).
